New Believer FAQs

Welcome to God's family! Acts 2:42 shows us four essentials: learning God's Word, fellowship with other believers, communion (remembering Jesus), and prayer. Start by finding a Bible-believing church where you can grow. Set aside time each day to pray and read your Bible, even if it's just 10 minutes. Remember, you're not meant to do this alone. The early believers met together regularly, and you need that same community to help you grow stronger in your faith.

Look for a church that teaches straight from the Bible and makes Jesus the center of everything. A healthy church will focus on prayer, worship, and living by God's Word (the same values as The Tent). Visit a few churches and ask yourself: Do they clearly teach the gospel? Do people pray together and study Scripture? Is there real community where people care about each other? The church in Acts 2 focused on teaching, fellowship, sharing meals, and prayer. Find a church family that does the same.

Acts 2:42 shows that the first Christians didn't follow Jesus alone. They stayed devoted to fellowship. In community, you'll find encouragement when things get hard, people who help you grow, and chances to serve others. Other believers will pray for you, teach you, and remind you that you're part of God's bigger family. Just like iron sharpens iron, other Christians will make your faith stronger. The Tent’s focus on prayer, worship, and God's Word is meant to be experienced together.

Being a disciple means learning from Jesus and following Him every day. It means letting Him change your life through His Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:42 describes disciples who committed to learning and living out Jesus' teachings. Making disciples means helping others do the same. You share the gospel, invite people to know Christ, and help them grow in their faith. You don't need to be perfect or know everything. Just share what God is doing in your life and point others to Jesus. Start by praying for opportunities and being open about your faith.

Prayer is talking with God. Share your heart, listen for His guidance, and learn to follow His will. Start small but stay consistent. Even 5 minutes every day builds the habit. Thank God for His blessings, confess your sins, ask for what you need, and pray for others. Acts 2:42 shows that early believers devoted themselves to prayer, both alone and together. Try keeping a prayer journal, praying with friends, and setting a specific time each day to talk with God. As THE TENT program teaches, prayer connects you with God's Word and deepens your worship. It's the foundation of your relationship with Him
